Managing Contacts in Multiple Address Books - drag and drop (1)

Bay_Thunder
Making moves

I have several address books depending on the role I have, some are permanent , some transitionary.

To add a new contact into a secondary address book  is clumsy and cumbersome (right click, properties, try to remember the email address you want to add..... 😱)

Why not allow a simple drag and drop followed by a message "do you want to add <person name> to (address book name> option <yes> <cancel>

Sorry you are having difficulty.

A contact doesn't have a "properties" choice on right+click anywhere in the UI.  And you haven't described your starting position, which could be either address book or message display.

In message display, a simple click on the star next to an address adds it to an address book.  And a second click allows you to change the address book.

In Address Book you can click drag a contact from a source address book to a target address book, which copies the contact.

In both cases you don't need to remember an email address.

There is a third possibility, that you are talking about adding a contact to Mailing List.  A Mailing List has properties.

It would help if you provided every step and location in the process, step by step.
