Yall need to remove the clown show UI theme before you lose all your users

This is now how i expected to spend my night but here we are.

If you are going to make everything pills, can you at least make the 'x' button on the tab larger than 8px?  Even in comfortable it's difficult to click.  People should not be straining their eyes or experiencing minesweeper PTSD when they are closing tabs guys.

And in case your designers are unaware, users do in fact read the text on the tabs.  So converting a rectangle to a pill, which steals real estate for sick edgy rounded corners from the angelfire-era seems like a bad decision.

Also, not having a separator in between tabs (visually) is straight up criminal.  What possible reason could you have for making THIS decision?  What person was like 'you know what we could do with tabs?  Make them less like tabs'.  The entire, literally the entire, purpose of tabs is separation.  How is this concept not understood by your design team?

I have attached a visual aid for reference.  Feel free to use this exact implementation as it's somehow superior that what we current have.  You have til Friday to undo this or you will be losing the most important and hilarious user you have.
