Wallpaper in new tab

Can we have the opportunity to add a wallpaper in the new tab view? Like chrome or edge, that you can upload a picture and use it as a background in the new tab.

Hello,

I just wanted to say, that I like the wallpaper function, but currently it's not working well with .svg images. It works but only in the current session, once Firefox Nightly closed and re-opened it's returning to the black start screen. I have no issues with .png images. And another small point: "Send image" is not really clear, it suggests that the picture is send to Mozilla. I don't know but I think something like "Choose from computer" would be more clear.

I can't believe that Firefox still missing this feature. I was quite shocked to realize there is no option to do while setting up my Firefox.

@Fiery_WA yes! If you're using the latest version of Firefox, you can access the feature via Firefox Labs in Settings > Firefox Labs > then select Choose a custom wallpaper or color for New Tab

I wanted to update the status here, and share that Custom Wallpapers are rolled out to all users, and will be enabled by default with Firefox 140 next week!
