Can we have the opportunity to add a wallpaper in the new tab view? Like chrome or edge, that you can upload a picture and use it as a background in the new tab.

A Burst of Colors

Hello, thank you so much for the amazing browser

I suggest adding the ability in Firefox to choose personal photos from the gallery as backgrounds for the homepage. There are currently 12 options to choose from, which, in my opinion, are too monotonous. Additionally, the option to select different wallpapers for regular and private browsing modes

Any wallpaper from your computer as startup background.

You won't believe but one of the main reasons I still use Chrome times to times is cuz of ability to change to any wallpaper I want for the startup main page of the browser. I don't get it why such an easy option it's still not on Mozilla!

And one more thing... why Google Maps/Earth work so smooth on Chrome and so poor optimized on Mozilla?

It would be great if we can use custom wallpapers for new tab and have more exciting themes like chrome.

it would be great if we could have our own saved photos from explorer as wallpapers

Newbie,  well actually used Firefox years ago but had to change due to incompatibility with Netflix.

Don't know if this version is same as I ditched Netflix - so, back to Firefox.

Regarding this thread:  newtab page background image.  I am surprised this was not already a part if the UI options, but, read elsewhere that this may be upadated soon?  It really does need to have a means for user to use their own image(s) for wallpapers on newtab page.

I have upvoted the OP idea even though an oldish thread but the only one I could find to add my vote to.

Hope it makes it into a new build soon.

  • Everyone commenting about personal photos for homepage don't hold your breath. Firefox is so far behind most if not all browsers, it sucks and there's no legitimate excuse for it, except powers to be don't think it's not very important to stay up with they're competitors and apparently listening to they're users as this option has been requested for a long time and other browsers have had the option for years. So either you have to accept its going fast nowhere or switch browsers or make a RSS file as I have and you then can put a personal photo for your homepage background.. But the problem is,
  • we shouldn't have to make a workaround it's really aggravating they're playing footsies and not taking it seriously.

Christ on a bike, people have been asking for the ability to set a custom photo on their firefox home page for literal years now. Do the thing. you don't need to think hard about such a small quality of life update. or even just add that into firefox color; have firefox color be part of firefox by default. Ya'll it can't be that hard to make this happen. People obviously want this. People obviously want this.
