update all folders for the 'number of unread messages indicator' automatically

Can you change the interface to update the number of unread messages indicator for folders like "all mail" and "important" when messages in the "inbox" are read. Right now I have to click on the folder and then it updates the value. I would be nice if it updated automatically.
