On ChromeOS (and maybe other os) Google added a feature, that lets you switch the open tab by swiping on a touchpad witch 3 fingers. This feels increadably intuitive and i would love to see a firefox equivilant implementation.

Other Touchpad Gestures are already supported in the current nightly build so, im guessing this is possible as well.

Technicly this can be done witch 3ed party programs (at least on linux), by mapping 3 finger swipe to crtl  (+ shift ) + tab, but that can lead to weired unwhanted zooming an other problems. Also a firefox native solution would support some animations.

Hey, just popping in to say that the feature would definitely be appreciated. I main laptops (both home and work) and I prefer using touchpad instead of a mouse whenever I can (Linux, experience is usually much smoother than on Windows, at least for me), and it would be very time-saving to have this feature here. I find myself hopping between tabs quite frequently, and moving the cursor to the tabbar all the time is a bit frustrating. Thanks!

I used to use chromeOS for school and the 3 finger swipe gesture was a godsend. would use this feature every day if it eventually gets implemented.
