Toolbar View recent browsing should automatically select the search box

All versions of Firefox up to and including 149.0

Whenever I click the little attaché case (View recent browsing), the next thing I always MUST DO is to SELECT the search box before I type something.

This step should be unnecessary.  The search box should be selected automatically.

I cannot tell you how many times I've clicked the button, then started to type, only to see that what I typed wasn't going anywhere, and was just being ignored. Then I click inside the search box and re-type.
