Thunderbird: Subfolders update subscription via parent folder

Currently, there is no easy way to subscribe to updates of all subfolders in the mail client included into the "parent" folder. File -> Subscribe -> I have to click through all the subfolders one by one to renew my subscription. It's inconvenient and time-consuming. It is necessary to make sure that when you mark a subscription to new emails in the "parent" folder, the subscription to updates of all subfolders occurs automatically.

An option to enable automatic subscription to new unsubscribed subfolders of an IMAP account would be very much appreciated.

This feature would certainly help to persuade users in my organisation to make the switch from outlook to thunderbird.

Users in my organisation collaborate by unilaterally creating a bunch of new folders in shared IMAP accounts and expect others to automatically see these folders.

Manual subscription is not acceptable, sadly.
