Thunderbird - 'Select all folders' option when customizing selected folders of virtual folders

Hi everybody,

My idea is on future versions of Thunderbird.

If someone wants to customize the selected folders in the properties of an existing virtual folder, I think the option "Select all folders" would be very helpful. Every time I tediously search for those folders among the many existing folders that were not selected yet.

What do you think?

I’ve also encountered the same problem. Why is it impossible to select all nested folders when creating a virtual folder? What’s the point of all this hassle with checking boxes?

Please implement the ability to select all nested directories of the selected folders. Also, it would be great if, even after creating a virtual folder, newly created regular folders (created after the virtual folder was created) were automatically added — this is how it works when you create a virtual folder via the email search window (in the search window, the “Create Virtual Folder” button). Why doesn’t nesting get taken into account when creating a virtual folder directly?

When creating a virtual folder via the search window, I see another downside (if it didn’t exist, I wouldn’t be writing here) — it’s impossible to search all mailboxes (only the current one) and save that search as a virtual folder.
