Status: Delivered

A recent update changed the Recent Destinations List under "Move To" and "Copy To" from an alphabetical list to a Most-Recently-Used (MRU) list, which really hampers the usability. What I have now is a random list of 25 folders that I have to search through to see if the one I want is somewhere in the list. Before the update I could easily go down the alphabetically ordered list and quickly find the folder I want. Now it's a hot mess. Please revert back to the alphabetical ordering or make it a user option. Thanks!

It's fixed in version 150, which is now released. 🎉

There's also a setting for the maximum number of folders to include.

Thank you to everyone who played a part in this fix! My Thunderbird is much more versatile now and having alpha sort is saving me a ton of time when filing email to local folders.

I concur with this observation. I would also like to have a setting for list length. Mine appears to be stuck at 10.

Yes -- many thanks to all who helped resolved this issue -- the new alpha sort is so much more helpful and useful to me!

@bigleaf33 There is now a setting for list length: go to Tools, Settings, General, scroll down to "Folder Management Options", and there you can set the Maximum number of recent folders.

bigleaf33, are you on version 150.0.1?
Tools>Settings>General>Folder Management Options has selections to set
"Sort Order" to either Alphabetical or Most Recent and
"Maximum number of recent folders" anywhere from 1 to 50
