Thunderbird: "Threads with attachments should show the paper clip icon"

Currently, threads only show the paper clip icon indicating attachments if the first email in the thread contains an attachment.

I propose that the paper clip icon (or some other indicator) should appear if any email in the thread contains an attachment.

I think one or both of the following make sense

• Show a lower-contrast (grey) paperclip, or something entirely different like a small dot
• Only show anything extra on the thread root if the thread is collapsed

If it's just the same icon and always shown, I think it will be confusing.
