One of the biggest problems in cybersecurity is phishing. (Fake e-mails that trick users into entering their passwords, credit card information on fake websites, etc...)

I think it would be a blessing to help the user with information about the e-mail to make it easier to spot phishing mails.

I'm not sure what the simplest solution is for a wide audience.

Perhaps their could be a list of domains of suspicious senders to mark phishing mails with a rating from 1 to 5 if a mail was sent from that domain.

Or a suspicious looking sender address could be rated from 1 to 5. (rated by a local algorithm by comparing the sender address with the adress book, calculating the entropy of the sender address string, ...)

Or you could just show and highlight the domain of the sender. (The part after the @) This would also give the user more insights to protect themselves.

Or you could mark suspicious links in the e-mail.

Additionally, if there is a suspicious e-mail, a pop-up window like "How do I spot a fake e-mail?"[1] would be great.

As some colleagues like to say: "The user is the best protection".[2]

[1]: I think the term "phishing" could be repelling for non-technical people.

[2]: It appears that training people's natural neural networks is more efficient and economical than using artificial neural networks.
