Tags on Thunderbird Android

Please add the ability to see tags on emails, add/remove them, and add tags to the side bar with folders. Would like similar abilities for tags as the desktop application! Thanks!

I'd also really love to see this feature coming to android.
At the moment I'm migrating my mail provider and client, but I want a solution that works across systems and thunderbird is as closest to making this true. And besides that, I love the idea of using an open source tool - thanks for your work 🙏

In my view, there are multiple steps, that could be done in order to add value to users step by step:

• only show Labels configured in Thunderbird Desktop (per IMAP keywords)
• enable editing the Labels added to a specific Mail

I think gmail's label feature really hit the nail on the head back in the day. There's something amazing about the workflow of having a single Archive folder, and optionally tagging emails before archiving them for easy filtering.

Tags work fairly well on the desktop client, but for me personally, I hesitate to transition my workflow from folders to tags unless the android client supports them too. This would be such a great feature and a huge help in my and surely many others' de-googling journey.
