Sync toolbar setting / icons

Status: New idea

When I install firefox on a new device, I need to customize my toolbar every time and usually, I don't know exactly how I set it. It would be good if the toolbar settings can be saved in the account.

But for people who dont want to sync this ... it would be good to have an option to not sync this data for specific devices.

Add customization of toolbar to sync

It would be nice if the taskbar layout and themes sync between devices like cards or history.

This would be nice, even as an opt-in option where you're prompted upon connecting devices or something.

And as a side note, please implement this for search settings as well. Every other desktop setting seems to synchronize, why make me have to manually reconfigure my search engines every time?

Give it a thumbs up. It's really sad and cumbersome that on 2024 we can't still sync layout/toolbar customization 😕

was a great idea back then and still is now. syncing should allow you to be able to install firefox on a device, login securely into your mozilla account, enable sync and then have exactly the same experiencee aas on any other synced device you own. anything else should be done over sync settings but not forced or unmodifiable
