I often have large volumes of incoming mail being processed through large numbers of message filters, and it is somewhat annoying to have the same error box come up multiple times telling me that a message couldn't be filtered to the same folder due to a problem. I would like to suggest that when a message filter fails in this way the filter should be set to a new "Suspended" state, and that some easy mechanism is provided to say "Reset all suspended filters to active and re-run them". For example today, having not used my email for a couple of days, I had one particular filter generate this same error more than ten times (and multiple other filters several times each).

@g6enu What is the exact wording of the error you are seeing?

I can't say at this stage - it was something about being unable to move the message to the folder, maybe due to the folder being damaged. The issue - at least for now - is not that I got the error message but that it didn't temporarily disable the relevant filter that it was trying to process, meaning that it then tried to move another message to the same folder and generated the same error, then tried to move yet another ... (repeat until Thunderbird runs out of messages to move).
