Spellcheck latest email only

Currently when I try to send an email in Thunderbird (latest version 102.4.1) the spellcheck pops up, as set, but annoyingly not only checks my email for possible errors but the entire email trail in the email.   There is no point spellchecking the previous emails in the thread so would be good if spellchecker did not.
