Search engine without search param

Just migrated from Chrome. I'm missing one super convenient feature: ability to add shortcuts for websites.

The trick to make it work in Chrome:

1. Create a custom Search Engine without search param
2. Assign a shortcut for it
3. When entering the shortcut in the address bar Chrome prioritizes the search engine - so all I need is to type the shortcut and press enter.

It's important that no "Tab" is necessary to activate the search engine. For super popular pages I have shortcuts like "1", "2" - I just type 1, press Enter - and I'm on my page.

You can do that already. For example, if you want to search on Google, create a bookmark with a URL field set to https://www.google.com/search?q=%s (%s will be replaced with your search terms) and in the "keyword" field type just the letter g. Then you can search on Google by typing "g weather" or "g why should I not use google". And if you type only g (without any search terms) and press enter, you will go to https://www.google.com/search?q= ,

That's what I DON'T want to do - I don't want to search or press Tab. I want to create a shortcut to a specific web page. I enter just one letter and press enter - and I'm on that page right away. Currently this would just do a google search if I didn't press Tab. And even if I press Tab - it doesn't go anywhere until I enter the search term.
