"Firefox supports a new “Copy Link Without Site Tracking” feature in the context menu which ensures that copied links no longer contain tracking information."
While this is a welcome change, i'd be much much more useful to replace “Copy Link Without Site Tracking” with “Open Link Without Site Tracking”...
Otherwise there's the needless waste of time manually open a new tab and paste the link...
This completely lacks any logic if you ask me, why didn't mozilla make it as i suggest above in the first place? Why the manually klick klick waste of time?

100% agree.     Its sooooo close .. yet so far.

If I was a suspicious person, I'd think that there was some reason they couldn't do - either legally or, more likely, to not piss google off too much.    But I'd be *very* happy to be proven wrong.   Or, at least *happy*, if there was some trick someone had to allow those two operations, "copy link without tracking" and open (this link) in a new tab to be added to the right context menu ourselves via some kind of firefox configuration thing..

It needs to be polished too.  It is not cleaning YouTube embeds of referring links thus still giving Google a  look at your browsing history

portion of link "without tracking"  [&embeds_referring_euri=https%3A%2F%2F ...]

The "copy... " should be under/after the 'Paste and Go" choice

Yes, my comment was that even using the copy link without tracking, it is still not cleaning the referring URL thus Google knows the last website you visited

I agree with this.

I would love to see (as a configuration option, perhaps)
"Copy Link Without Site Tracking” and “Open Link Without Site Tracking”
be default in PRIVATE mode.  That is the basic idea anyway.

This would be especially useful with Google/Gmail, which appears to track everything.

Why can't we have both once the issue of cleaning the URL is correct? Then we can use the "Copy ..." for times when we share links with other through email or messaging platforms, and the "Open ..." for ourselves when we want to avoid tracking.
