When upgrading version of Firefox remnants of the old version are left in the Windows registry and this is causing problems with vulnerability scanners in the enterprise. For example, if I currently have Firefox version 129 and then upgrade to Firefox 130 then our vulnerability scanners report vulnerabilities on the system for both Firefox version 129 and 130 even though only 130 is installed.
Completely removing Firefox from the Windows registry requires several steps, including editing the registry manually. Requesting upgrades also remove old versions from the Windows registry.
