Hi, maybe you turned the redirect block? It was designed as an accessibility feature so that screen readers and other accessibility tools do not lose their places. It wasn't meant to be used for routine browsing by other users. Here's how you can turn it off:

(A) In a new tab, type or paste about:config in the address bar and press Enter/Return. Click the button accepting the risk.

More info on about:config: Configuration Editor for Firefox. Please keep in mind that changes made through this back door aren't fully supported and aren't guaranteed to continue working in the future.

(B) In the search box in the page, type or paste accessibility.blockautorefresh and pause while the list is filtered

(C) Double-click the preference to switch the value from true to false

Redirect blocking is probably a good thing most of the time but not all the time. I experience it on a daily basis with the Enrollment Management System that my college uses. It isn't going anywhere nefarious, but the inability to whitelist it in any way is a daily pain. The all or nothing solution just isn't a good idea.
