"Ctrl+Tab cycles through tabs in recently used order" but switch to each tab instead of display thumbnail

I like the "Ctrl+Tab cycles through tabs in recently used order" setting. Until recently I assumed that would be the default in all browsers, for the same reason Alt-Tab does the same thing with different running programs. (It should always be easiest to switch to things you were recently working on.) But I do not like the thumbnails, I want it to switch between tabs the same way it does when not using this setting. It slows me down to have to squint at thumbnails. So please provide the option to keep the "Ctrl+Tab cycles through tabs in recently used order" setting, but switch between tabs as usual instead of showing thumbnails. At least in Linux and Windows, I am not familiar with Mac, it appears to use Command+Option+Right Arrow instead so someone can comment if this makes sense for Mac as well.
