Status: New idea

Hi, my name is Gerhard, I am writing from Berlin and have been using Firefox for decades (I am too old... ;-)).

My idea is to develop a feature that allows you to generate a QR code for the URL you are currently browsing with a single click, so that you can quickly switch to another device such as a mobile phone, etc. without an account (perhaps in public spaces, shared workspaces, etc.). Ok, not for websites you have to login and so on, just for the daily easy stuff.

Or does this already exist and I just can't find it???

Potentially similar idea here: Include a QR code generator

@Rocktoberfest

There are a bunch of addons that allow you to create QR Codes for tab urls, links or bookmarks, text selections and so on.

https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/show-qrcode

This is the one i maintain. It allows you to generate QRCodes for almost everything but its currently limited to desktop firefox, since firefox on android is still missing some api's to provide feature parity.
