Please let us move the new extensions button into the overflow menu

With the version Firefox 109 release, you added this new button without the option to change its position or move into the overflow area. Please let use move it. I can remove/hide almost every other UI element in the browser, why not this?

So I am now able to move the puzzle piece out of the spot where my bookmarks icon should be. That's an improvement. However, I would like to not see it at all because I do not have any extensions. Is removing it all together in the works?

Please remove the extension icon from the toolbar, it's a security flow for company andenterprise environment.

The extension icon is currently not being able to remove from the toolbar. The reasons I'm use Firefox only for two reasaons: open-source and clean interface.

Can you make it possible to remove the extension icon from the toolbar?

I support this 100%. I don't understand why the developers are so obsessed with shutting down any customisation of this button.

I don't want it to appear in the toolbar at all. It should be able to be hidden. It has Remove from toolbar when you right click but it's grey'd out. I really hate this extra button appearing when I never knew about it before nor ever used it to begin with. It's bad enough there is the applications menu button. Why not put the stupid bloody button onto that menu. It should be customisable. In your rush to include this amazing functionality you've started it off with no functionality to remove it from the face of the Earth. Every time think about it I want to choose another browser, which isn't something I want to do. I just don't like the extra button.

The fact that such a popular request hasn't been implemented yet is really, really questionable. Even more so since the button itself is very poorly centered and just a visual disgrace.

Jeppie, it's a security flow and ethically incorrect for Mozilla's reason to exist.

What I don't like about the button is that ALL active addons are there, which makes them hard to identify, and that they are hard to move in the list. As long as the overflow cannot host extensions icons, hiding their button in the overflow makes them even harder to access.

What we should ask is: let the overflow show addons and/or add an option to remove an active addon from the button.

In fact in 114 we can change the button position (for example, left of the address field) but limited to the toolbar proper (address bar) —not to the tab toolabar —unlike addons (e.g. undo close tab) and overflow buttons( e.g. history), and not to the overflow menu.

But even with that, the entries/menu under "Extensions" button are far more clunky and oversized.  The Overflow menu functioned appropriately; you could add or remove precisely the items you wanted, and and it was small and unobtrusive.  The Extensions button does none of these, and is not a functional replacement.

I have pinned my Firefox version to 108, and use Waterfox in case I need a newer build.

Yes, this is honestly a real gamebreaker for the desktop version of Firefox, and very disappointing trend towards less and less customisability... long gone are the days of old when we would be getting more customisability rather than less (mind you, that was almost a decade ago now).
