Status: New idea

You must allow folks to permanently disable the incessant requests to update to the latest version of Firefox. How about a 3rd option besides Dismiss and Download..."No. Do not ask me again"

Don't understand how folks deal with multiple popups each day.

Definitely agree. The constant reminder for updates is very annoying. The updates themselves are annoying: they consist mostly of lets-be-cute changes that I have no intention of using. Then there are the annoying popups accompanying the changes.  Much more bloat and I'll be looking for another browser.

Security updates should be released separately and be ONLY about security fixes without the new UI bloat.

I have been using Firefox (and whatever it was called earlier)  for what seems forever.

After rejecting the "up-grade" notice for ever wouldn't it an idea to stop this feature after so may rejects?  it is very annoying and I am considering to change browsers because of it!

Hey @TimberlineCoyot

Clicking the thumbs up button in the main post equals a vote.

To the insistent "Updates Available" message I'd like to see a third option - either "I'll let you know" or "Don't bother me, I'm happy with it now."

I want to disable the popup that tells me that yet another update has been pushed. I don't need this every day. I'd rather disable updates entirely than deal with this every day. Stop nagging me.

I want no notifications when updates are available!!
Option required to switch off notifications now and forever!!

I agree. It's like the mailman opening your front door and shoving a mail piece in your face instead of waiting for you to go to the mailbox to retrieve it. Not to mention you have to stop what you're working on to dismiss it because it's covering part of your screen. It pops up several times a day, minimum, for me. That's too much.

I would simply like to set it to bother me less often for an update.  Perhaps one notice per Major level increase.  Rather than multiple times a day (different machines - work and home).  I do not set anything for automatic update and I do not allow my user account to do updates.  I need to log into the Administrator account, which I don't need to do multiple times a week for minor updates.

Yeah, it's a no-brainer. The lack of respect for consumer choices and incessant manipulative popups are the kind of arrogant behavior we expect from Microsoft and eventually reduced IE to the joke it is today.  I'm ditching firefox, it's a great little unit but this flaw is a deal breaker.

Ironic, opened your message (3+ days to deliver) and yet another "update available. . ." popup appeared. Not the first one today.

I don't like the new version of Thunderbird, but instead of using something else I reverted back to the version I really like. However I am now bombarded with messages to update and I don't want too. Please tell me how I stop this. Please don't make it that I have to go somewhere else. I have spent ages trying to get rid of these messages to no avail.
