Option to disable open new tab automatically

had to change my default browser to Safari.

While logging into a site I have open my password vault program to get the credentials. So I get the username and switch back to Firefox to enter it. It opens a new tab.  Close the new tab, paste in the username. Switch back to password vault, then back to Firefox, new tab. Close it and paste the password. Very annoying.

This is already an option. In settings, under Homepage, change the setting to open last tab.
