Native Text-to-Speech Selection via Context Menu

Hi Firefox Team,

After using Google Chrome for well over a decade, I’ve recently made the switch back to Firefox as my primary browser. Overall, the experience has been great, but there is one critical feature from Chrome that I miss dearly: the native "Read selection" (Text-to-Speech) option in the right-click context menu.

In Chrome, whenever I was reading an article or a long page, I could simply highlight any text block—or the whole page—right-click, and select the option to have the built-in system voice read it aloud to me through my headphones.

While I know Firefox has an excellent Reader View with TTS capabilities, it doesn't work on every web page, nor does it allow for quick, on-the-fly highlighting and listening of specific text snippets on standard pages.

Adding a direct "Read Selection" action to the right-click menu would make a huge difference for accessibility, workflow efficiency, and multi-tasking. Implementing this using system TTS APIs shouldn't require a complete overhaul, but it would make the browser feel truly complete for users coming over from Chrome.

Please consider adding this feature in an upcoming release!
