Native Tab Grouping / More Customizable Tab bar

I'm personally a heavy tab user but have always wondered why there is almost no support for tab grouping or customization in the native tab bar in Firefox.

I think making it able to group like Google Chrome does for example or at least giving more access for extensions and add-ons would significantly improve the UI in that regard.

When Chrome and its derivatives drop support for Manifest V2 in mid next-year, there's going to be an large influx of users who try out Firefox as an alternative. A not insignificant percentage of them are going to be turned off by the fact that their workflow has no equivalent.

Now is the time for Mozilla to start work on implementing tab groups. The current alternative of having multiple browser profiles is indescribably less usable—and I say that as someone who's gone though the hassle of actually setting them up.

I'd like to see that as well. This is a basic but very much needed feature. It's missing on mobile as well and I honestly have to admit, that my determination to stay with firefox wavers everytime I see how much better productivity is because of something simple but effective as that.

I think that the best implementation, would be to add this feature into Firefox Multi-account containers.

This is a must! The only reason I cannot use Firefox is this! I want to get away from Chromium but I need tab groups or workspaces (from MS Edge) in order to keep things neat and tidy as I end up having a lot of tabs open because of work. I am aware that extensions support this partly but having the simple, easy to use implementation of grouping the way Chrome does it is super intuitive and makes the feature super helpful. Please implement this!

Tab grouping improves productivity and helps to organise tabs based on the work at hand. I feel like this is long overdue.

This has been long overdue. I have a much better workflow with groups. Combined with vertical tabs in Brave, it has become a game changer.

I swear the moment firefox implements tab grouping like chrome im making the switch and never looking back. The lack of this feature is the only reason why im still using chrome instead of firefox.
