There seem to be quite a few settings in about:config that are relevant and harmless enough to deserve being easily accessible from the normal Firefox settings.
Just an example, the browser.tabs.tabMinWidth is super useful for those who like to have many tabs open ('cause the tabs won't become so tiny that we can't read the title anymore).
And many many more.
There really is no reason why such useful tweaks shouldn't be available in the normal settings for all common mortals (= the less tech-savvy who can't quite cope with the long list of not explained settings in about:config).
