The adress bar on phones often is very small for URLs.

E.g. For this link Firefox for Android just shows me "connect.mozilla.o" and if I click on it, i see the end of the URL with "ostpage/board-id/ideas".

I can click on the lock-symbol and then on "connection is secure" to see the full URL. But it took me some time to figure out. Would be great to make it easier to see the actual URL you are on.

Highlighting the host name part of the url especially is useful. See also this idea which suggests an improvement in the case of government websites : https://connect.mozilla.org/t5/ideas/improving-trust-in-government-websites-on-the-open-web/idi-p/96...

Generally hiding URL is a terrible way to behave for power users. Please show full URL instead of just domain, when there is enough room (or enable it in settings).

URL checking is reasonable behaviour for advanced/security minded users, who want to check the exact webpage they are visiting. It may be very relevant on some websites (such as reddit.com, where URL parts make important information about content that might be available).
