Keep playing audio when Firefox Android runs in the background

If you can please add to firefox on android function when enabled, which will continue to play audio in the background when the smartphone screen is locked or switched to another application or switch to another tab of the browser. For example if listening to a podcast or listening to a video interview, I would like to be able to listen with the smartphone screen off.

Background audio and CarPlay / Android Auto support

This is a killer feature in Brave for iOS (I don’t have an Android device but it’s probably similar) and I would love to see it in Firefox. It consists of several parts that do not necessarily have to be implemented all together:

• put an option in settings to enable background audio

• enable PiP to allow using other apps in the meantime while playing a video in background

• introduce a basic playlist which can be used in Apple CarPlay and Android Auto

• optional: add ability to save playlist items for offline use

Youtube vanced has pull the plug, cant play any music anymore if sign in youtube account

I try to alternative by using firefox browser, plus add-ons ublock origin and video background play fix extension, i manage to play music in my library while driving the car.

But, i cant skip the song because firefox not support my car bluetooth or car play. I hope there's wise dev could make the add-ons for playing or skip youtube video while driving the car.

Well, with a quick test. You can figure out that youtube web MOBILE pauses the audio if you tab out of the app, yet it works fine if you enable "desktop site" and do the same tabbing out. At some point ill switch over to stuff like invidious.io ... someday.

Strangely, this so-called feature of youtube MOBILE web does not act in Brave browser.

Must have features. Please add background audio / video in the background.

Android battery saver, even if set unrestricted kills the app. App must just get mimized when exiting from back. But it kills the app.
