I have a suggestion that I believe would greatly benefit Firefox users, especially newcomers, and even long-time users who want to explore and understand the browser's features better. I propose the implementation of a "Tutorials" section within Firefox's settings menu.

The Problem: Many users, both new and experienced, often struggle to discover and comprehend all the features and functionalities Firefox has to offer. This can lead to confusion for new users and missed opportunities for seasoned ones who may not be aware of lesser-known features.

The Solution: Introducing a "Tutorials" section in Firefox's settings menu would address this problem effectively. This dedicated space would contain a library of interactive tutorials covering various aspects of Firefox's capabilities. Users would be able to access tutorials on a wide range of topics, from basic browser navigation to advanced customization options.

Benefits:

  1. Enhanced User Experience: New users will find it easier to acclimate themselves to Firefox, reducing frustration and improving their overall experience.

  2. Discover Hidden Features: Even long-time users can benefit from tutorials that reveal lesser-known features, helping them maximize their browser experience.

  3. Self-Paced Learning: Users can choose tutorials based on their interests and needs, allowing for self-paced learning tailored to individual preferences.

  4. Accessibility: Including text and multimedia tutorials would make this feature accessible to a wide range of users, including those with different learning styles and abilities.

Implementation Ideas:

  1. User-Friendly Interface: Design a user-friendly, intuitive interface within the Firefox settings menu for easy access to tutorials.

  2. Categorized Content: Organize tutorials into categories such as "Getting Started," "Privacy & Security," "Extensions & Add-ons," and more to facilitate quick navigation.

  3. Interactive Elements: Incorporate interactive elements like quizzes, step-by-step guides, and videos to engage users and reinforce learning.

  4. User Feedback: Allow users to provide feedback on tutorials, helping you improve and refine the content over time.

Conclusion: By introducing a "Tutorials" section within Firefox, you can empower users to make the most of the browser's capabilities, making their browsing experience more enjoyable and productive.

Great idea!

I believe even short advices about available settings or mechanics on a new tab page would be already a good start. Something like "to add a new search engine, go there and do this and this" or "press this key combination to reopen closed tab"
