I just read a Bluesky thread by the developer of the very popular extension FrankerFaceZ where he shares his frustration with a long and failed add-on review process for an important update.
In theory a review of those updates is a great idea, in practice it's too slow and tedious. That's the gist of it.
Maybe as a quick fix the developers could mark some updates as important repair releases so they get a fast-tracked review process?
Or (if this isn't already the case) updates to extensions with a large user base could be prioritized reviews? It's not exactly fair to smaller devs but I think it makes sense to keep the developers of popular extensions (and their user!) happy.
