IMPORT bookmarks not Merging them into a mess of junk

once upon a time long ago, internet explorer would allow one to export All their bookmarks or just a specific Folder of bookmarks.  On the flip side, importing bookmarks could merge everything together in all hell (current Firefox way) or select a specific folder to import bookmarks.  One could even go one step further and have Firefox on default import, place these imported bookmarks into an automatically created folder of the current date & time.  *mic drop
