Firefox Extension for Gemini Protocol

Hello Everyone,

Project Gemini is a quickly growing community over the past couple years. Gemini offers the advantages of plain text markup format as in Gopher but with the needed security on https. An extension such as OverbiteNX for Gopher could be easily created. I will create the proxy bridge, and would very much like to find an interested Firefox developer to make it "official".... thus being "actively monitored for security by Mozilla".

The web extension API need to be updated to allow more control over alternative protocols ... then adding gemini or others  should not require addional effort from mozilla.
