I just learned about Tab Groups.   Reading the documentation, I envisioned them a little differently than how they actually operate.  Rather than a colored underline for all tabs in a group, the tabs would get collapsed into the Group tab (which has whatever name you specified when you created the tab group).  Then, if/when you click on that tab, all the tabs (their names) within the group are displayed below the group tab like a drop-down list (or like when you click the Bookmarks option from the menu bar).  It's kind of like how the Bookmarks drop-down menu works, but provides a shortcut and is for pages/tabs that are already open.  It would save on real estate with horizontal tabs, whereas the current implementation exacerbates it.  Vertical tabs also chew up a lot or real estate.  This new group tabbing method would save/reclaim real estate for both vertical and horizontal tab orientations while leveraging the benefits of both.
