Energy - a battery saving version

Although I prefer to use the firefox browser, unfortunately it drains the battery on my laptop. A battery saving version would be nice in the future.

Firefox is our default browser, however, one need a nuclear energy station next door, because, the electricity consumption is far too high and drains the battery in a Mac laptop M1. It is a bit like an old coal burning browser 🙂

Would like to see a more energy efficient browser.

Power consumption should be reduced on Mac for background tabs with Firefox 136 (https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1895985).

Is there still no resolution for this? The first mentions of this message date back to 2022, and the recent updates are causing my battery life to decline rapidly
