the trash folder has the option to 'empty trash' from the trash folder header. with the junk folder you have to select the email account junk folder to empty it. it should function like the trash folder header. cheers.

This already exists, right+click on Spam folder, "Empty Spam".

thanks for responding. i agree the option to delete is already there for both spam and trash using and on the unified folder. the counter on the spam folder updates correctly. the counter on the trash folder does not update. i currently have 0 emails in the trash folder, but the counter says there are 530 emails in trash folders. it does not update until i highlight the trash unified folder. if i have the trash unified folder highlighted and select the empty trash from the context menu, i have to select another folder and then reselect the trash unified folder for the counter to update to 0. cheers, arthur

iirc the counter issue is resolved in a newer version.
