Opening search results on Firefox for Android automatically creates history groups.

Users on different Mozilla communities would like to have an option to disable this behavior and see their full browsing history in chronological order.

Strollin' around

the way history is implemented now, in android, is a war crime. either get rid of it or revampe it.

Is this your idea of being hip and cool?

I strongly agree.

Not only does the current design run counter to what users expect and are accustomed to, but it also makes it harder to see the the entire history at a glance, and isn't consistent with Firefox Desktop.

They're not necessarily a bad idea, but having to enter a group to check what's inside, then trying to go back and getting punted to the start of the history screen is very unproductive. At that point, I'd rather disable groups. I'm also not a fan of messing with the entry ordering, since I usually have a "good enough" grasp of the order I visited pages in.

Still no fix after all this time. I really don't get how inconsistent it is with the desktop experience. Who at Mozilla thought it was a good idea to randomly group search results on Android ONLY, and with no way to view them in chronological order? What's the logic behind this?!

it's been like 3 years, dude, why is this still a forced function? the dang thing dosn't even work properly, it'll pick up stuff unrelated to the search since the flag or whatever on the tab isn't cleared properly when using the back button. if it worked I wouldn't want it mashing a bunch of things into groups like this, but it dosn't... and it's still forced on everyone.

this is an egregiously non-functional feature that has been left to rot while it's still stapled onto a borderline essential part of a web browser.

Very frustating that there's still no way of disabling grouping

Any update on this? Why would someone want to group the history? The groups don't make sense for me most of the times

Making moves

Is there any update on this feature request? I simply want to know what sites I recently visited in chronological order. Grouping history in folders removes this information.

The grouping is wrong in some cases. I've seen a history record grouped into an unrelated folder.

If you want, you can group history by number of sites, for example:

- Last 1 to 100 history

- last 101 to 200 history

- and so on....

I just want a chronological list.
