I often use firefox to work with local PDF files (highliting them, writing comments etc.). Afterwards, I save them, overwriting the original file.
Right now, the default behavior of the "save as" dialog is to open the last directory to which I've saved a file. This is oftne inconvenient, since I have to navigate to the original directory of the file. Sometimes I even save to the wring directory by mistake, crating two versions of a PDF with different highlighting.
I would prefer, if the "save as" dialog for local files would default to the directory, from which a file was opend. This would be consistent with the bahavior of other Programs and much more convenient. Also, since the useer still has to confirm the directory, there wouldn't be any security risk whatsoever.
