Would like to see the search engine choices revamped. The landscape has changed recently, Brave Search looks good, Ecosia saves the planet (apparently).

Maybe FF could also give a few words about each one in the options, like its mission statement:

DDG: for better privacy
Ecosia: plants trees
Google: default, but least privacy

Good news...

As of Firefox 124, Qwant is an engine choice in France, Belgium, Italy, Netherlands, Spain and Switzerland.

Having switched from Google to Qwant around a year ago and had zero regrets (and zero 'here are some lies about something' AI summaries), I would also thoroughly agree with rogue-agent.
