Correct and intuitive handling of events in Thunderbird calendar

Hello,
there is a nasty behaviour in Thunderbird for years. It would be great if it could be fixed and at the same time implement an enhancement.
First the nasty behaviour (here are the steps to reproduce):
- open the calender in the week view (7 days)
- create an event on a specific day by clicking (let's say Monday)
- than click on another day (let's say Wednesday) but in the upper area for All day events
- if you don't change the date in the dialogue it will be created on the day used before (Monday)
And now the enhancement request
- if you click in the upper area for All day events the checkbox for all day events should already be checked
- if you drag&drop an All day event from the upper area to the time-based area it should automatically adapted to the time when the mouse button was released
- if you drag&drop an event from the time-based area to the upper area for All day events it should automatically set to an all day event wihout manually edit the event properties
