A single download entry takes up a lot of space and can be slimmed down (Desktop). My recommendation would be to (1/3) move the progress figures from below the progress bar and place it next to the filename, right jusitifed. Also remove the "left" after time remaining and the speed (b/sec). (2/3) Decrease the spacing and margin size. (3/3) The filetype icon of course would also shrink. This is just a compact mode and there would be an option preferably in the menu or in preferences to toggle between the current full mode and compact view.
