If the default display was "address" with "inbox" directly beneath it would be possible to see which address had mail for example

>IAM@home

   inbox

>IAMNOT@home

   inbox

You would be able to expand the address to include "drafts" etc. as you can now but people with several address (similar to "IAM") could check many addresses at a glance instead of opening and closing each address separately.
