Address bar options allow you to choose whether or not browsing history, bookmarks, open tabs etc are suggested.

I think the algorithm for the order of these suggestions is the order in the settings page. It would be great to allow the user to chnage that order, for example to give priority to bookmarks over browsing history.

I'd note that search options allow you to choose whether search suggestions are shown ahead of browsing history.

Hey @JD25

There's a similar idea here: search bar prioritise bookmarks and auto select

And currently, you should be able to prioritize bookmarks in your search suggestions if you go to Preferences > Search > uncheck "Show search suggestions ahead of browsing history in address bar results"

That will put bookmarks and browsing history ahead of search suggestions. Is that what you're looking for...or are you wanting to take it a step further and make sure bookmarks are shown first?

Thanks!

Thanks Jon. Yes, similar idea, but I thought more flexibility would be possible should others' use of the browser mean that e.g. tab search is more important.

And I did want to take it a step further than history ahead of search - wanting to be able to prioritise bookmarks (which I have curated) over history (which is often an old page within a domain that I might be looking for).
