Change "Get Messages Icon" - Make it bigger

Get messages button

Its quite small in this 115 supernova version to get attention, that may cause confusion ... I hope it can be chanced llike +new message button or even backround color to button, to make it more visible ... It is guite small and take moment to find out .. Allmost think that function was hiddened. Just cloud symbol on corner. I think there is space to make it more visible.

At its present size, even on my very large monitor, It looks more like a thundercloud or a thumbs-down. Just some feeback for your UI design team.

A ridiculous tiny little cloud for such an important function that is clicked all the time is not OK.

Managed to change the background colour of the tiny 'Get Messages' icon in the folder pane to blue so it is more obvious thanks to Toad-Hall's post at https://support.mozilla.org/nl/questions/1420060

Now we just need the 'Get Messages' text next to this icon so it is even more visible and first-time user friendly.

Now that I know the cloud is new messages, it's OK, but its not intuitive UI.

It would be great to have "get new messages" under file as well.

I have used and supported Thunderbird for 30 years now and will continue, but this one issue with the latest version is driving me nuts.

I also use mailwasher and I manually download mail into Thunderbird - PLEASE make the Get Message button larger!  It has been months but I still find it much harder to locate and access than before.

@emann230Thunderbird was launched on 28 July 2003  so how about we agree to limit the usage to 20 years.

Personally, I have added the "Get Messages" to the toolbar.  A much more visible and easier to find target than just the tiny icon in the folder pane header.

It is obvious that the latest "improvement" is a fail.  The most commonly used icon is tiny and not user friendly.  I can't remember how is was before, except it was easy to get my new mail.  Please fix this problem.

Make "Get Messages" Icon larger and clearer

It is often difficult to find and access the small "get messages" icon. I use this just as often as the "send message icon. Why not have them about equal size and  of different colors for easy identification and use.

Much Bigger Button for retrieve emails

Hallo,

I often want to check my several email accounts right now and for this I often use the button on the left top for retrieving emails (emails abrufen in german). But I think this button is much to small. You should make it much bigger so that it is very easy to click on it without spending time to aim on it correctly because it is so small right now. And I think you can easily make it bigger because there is a lot of space in tihis line. Much empty space so you can make it bigger. 

Would be great.
