It would be great if Thunderbird mobile supports calendars like the desktop applications supports calendars.

That's a must for me so I can finally ditch the Outlook app

Making moves

Please add the calendar feature, similar to the desktop version. This is the last piece of the puzzle, so I can finally push Outlook to the curb.

Calender addition is very important in today's world of online meetings.

Phonebook sync will also be helpful.

For everybody saying this is the only reason they are using Outlook or Google Calendar, please have a look at  https://github.com/FossifyOrg/Calendar in combination with https://github.com/bitfireAT/davx5-ose/

I hope to see more resources being directed to there than to build a new app that is light years behind to what is already available and plays nicely with Thunderbird and many calendar providers.

il serait pratique de créer une synchronisation avec l'agenda de google ou bien rendre l'agenda de thunderbird partageable très facilement sur divers matériels (ordi, tablettes, tel...)

Easier to get broader adoption if you allow the mobile version to do what the desktop version can do, or you will force people to use another app, and if they're gonna do that, they might just opt not to use Thunderbird in the first place. Kind of a no'brainer; not sure why were voting on it.

I'm using Firefox and not Google Chrome for web browsing, but still need to use Google Calendar ;). Would be great to use Thunderbird Calendar on my phone too.

Yes, it's a great idea. We need the calendar and task functions as they are in the desktop client of Thunderbird.
