Avoid Deleting the Wrong Message - Discard Clicks and Keystrokes while Message List is Updating

When a message in the message list is deleted, response is often slow enough that there's enough time to click on another message below and delete that one too. But the first deletion moves the list up, so that the second deletion removes the wrong message!

So when an operation is initiated that rearranges the message list, clicks and keyboard input should produce a beep and be ignored, until the message list has updated.
