Attepmting to replicate chrome functionality, I want the ability to autofill from the first firefox suggest rather than defaulting to search. For example, typing "mail" works in this instance, but there are some times when I want to access something that's not part of the root. I might go to reddit.com/r/firefox frequently, so I would type "firefox" in chrome (or even just "F" depending on my usage) and it would suggest my most frequent site. In firefox, I'd have to type out everything to the "F" to get the suggestion.

Basically, it's a super quick way of accessing your sites and its extremely useful especially on a site like reddit with a ton of subdomains.

  • g + enter = mail.google.com
  • fi + enter = reddit.com/r/firefox
  • fa + enter = reddit.com/r/fantasyfootball
  • a + enter = apnews.com
  • m + enter = mail.yahoo.com (I like how chrome learned that behavior)

etc.

I see the result of what I want in the first firefox suggest but it does not autofill and I have to select it manually.
