While filling a form eg, registration form, all details like first name, last name, company name, designation, email address, job title, address etc should fill with 1 click on the first field.

This feature is in MS Edge, so for form filling I'm using Edge. Its time saving.

Yep after seeing this in Edge, it seems weird having to go back to filling each field manually. It's a feature I didn't know I needed!

@raju70  thank you for sharing this idea with us! We are working on this feature. You can take a look at it by going to about:config and editing extensions.formautofill.addresses.supportedCountries preference. More details can be found here https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/automatically-fill-your-address-web-forms

Shouldn't the status of this issue be updated?

The feature is already available to US/Canada and we are working to expand it to other regions. Once we have a clearer timeline, we will let you know.

I can't understand how this is not a first priority of the firefox team. I remember such a function even back in internet explorer times if I'm not wrong.

Why is this related to my geolocation? sure the address thing maybe, but just putting name and email and phone number will be MUCH APPRECIATED by firefox users from all over the globe, instead of waiting for each country by its own

I would like to stress how annoying the absense of this feature is. It makes simple tasks like booking plane tickets frustratingly slow. Other browsers had autofill for ages already.

Where can we follow the development of this feature? Chrome had this basic feature for years, as do other browsers. It's getting a little frustrating to wait for this, translation, and all the other things others take for granted.

Great to hear that this feature is in development, but, tbh, as someone wrote before, it should receive top priority. This is the last feature that would enable me to switch to chrome for booking arrangements etc.

I would greatly appreciate knowing the current timeline for this.

More modular Forms and Autofill options with 1 click option

Right now to have emails or phone numbers auto filled you need to go to Forms and Privacy & Security>Forms and Autofill>Saved Addresses...>Add..., I think this is not super clear and that phone number, email, and other form categorizes should have there own sections under Forms and Autofill just like addresses and credit cards. This is especially useful for those with multiple phone numbers, emails, or addresses. That way we only need to input each piece of information once rather than every combination of every set of each unique piece of information guaranteeing. For example if you have 2 phone numbers, 2 emails, and 2 addresses then you would need to enter 6 pieces of information rather than 8. Consider every combination below.

phone number 1 1 1 2 1 2 2 2
email 1 1 2 1 2 1 2 2
address 1 2 1 1 2 2 1 2

That being said, forms should be easily automated by filling all fields with a single click but also have the option where saved form inputs are available in a drop down menu for each field. The default form autofill should use the users last saved fields submitted on a form by default but give the use option to turn this off and customize there default auto form fields.

@18x9ed there's a similar idea here: Autofill a form with 1 click

If that aligns with what you're asking for, we can merge the two threads together (and kudos) to keep the conversation focused in one space. Just let me know 😃

@JonThat sounds good as long as some my detail of separating each field remains.

Just read about the autofill feature you're working on for Firefox. Super excited about it! I've been using something similar in other browsers and it's a huge time-saver.

Really looking forward to having this in Firefox. This kind of feature could totally make me switch to using Firefox as my go-to browser. Thanks for all the work you guys are putting into this.

Looking forward to it
