Auto PiP on Firefox Mobile

To activate PiP in Firefox mobile today, I need to play a video, go into full screen mode, turn the phone to horizontal orientation, swipe up, and then tap the home screen for PiP to appear.

Why not auto-detect that a video is playing and auto-pop it out for users when they navigate away from this tab, regardless of phone orientation? Maybe add a toggle for this in settings, similar to Firefox desktop.

This is similar to how Google Maps works when it's in navigation mode. If I'm following directions and tap away from Google Maps, instead of disappearing completely, the navigation window is minimized and pinned on top of whatever else I'm doing.

This feels more intuitive to me.
